PTFE
PTFE (PolyTetraFluoroEthylene) is a fluorocarbon-based polymer that offers a good combination of mechanical, electrical, chemical, temperature and friction-resistant properties that make it the material of choice in many extreme operating environments.

With a continuous use temperature of 500° F (260 C), virtually universal chemical resistance, a volume resistivity of greater than 10x18 ohm-cm, and a coefficient of friction of 0.02 to 0.10, PTFE offers performance not obtainable in any other material. PTFE's unique set of high performance properties has proven successful in a broad number of components and industries.

In addition, PTFE’s mechanical properties are often enhanced by the addition of fillers ranging from glass and carbon to many metals.

Jade produces a wide variety of parts using Dyneon™ fluoropolymer resins. For more detailed information on the properties of Dyneon, please click here.

Jade uses AGC Chemicals for PTFE resin. Click here for more information.
